Guidelines for Oral and Poster Presentations

Authors with accepted papers by the Technical Program Committee of LAMC-2016 will present their work during the conference either in oral or poster format.

Oral presentations in regular technical sessions will be scheduled in 20-minute time windows (15-17 min of exposition plus 5-3 minutes for Q/A), with some exceptions. You will be assigned a time window for your presentation within a technical session. This information will be sent to you by email before the conference. An optional power-point template for oral presentations is available here. Presentations materials are not published or archived, so they need not be IEEE Xplore compliant. Your power-point file will be requested from you by Dec. 8, 2016.

Posters will be displayed in two side-by-side bulletin boards, each 1 m wide x 2.4 m tall (3.3 × 7.9 ft). The recommended size for your poster is 90 cm wide by 110 cm tall (3 × 3.6 ft). You may display additional information in the second board (including a second 90 × 110 cm sheet, if you wish). Push pins and/or tape will be provided to attach your material onto the bulletin boards. You will be assigned a specific area and time window for your poster display (this information will be sent to you by email before the conference). Your poster designated area will also be labeled with your paper code when you arrive to the poster exhibition.

Initial Paper Submission

Prospective authors are cordially invited to submit original contributions to the 2016 IEEE MTT-S Latin America Microwave Conference (LAMC), in any of the technical topics described in the Call for Papers (please click on the menu item to the left). The Technical Program Topics and Sub-topics are available here.

Papers should be 3 pages in length, two-column, PDF format, and should not exceed two megabyte in file size. English will be the official language of the conference. Authors must adhere to the format described in the LAMC paper template available here.

LAMC will use IEEE TPMS as the electronic paper management system. Hardcopy and email submissions will not be accepted. It is the authors’ responsibility to obtain all required company and government clearances prior to submission. Please follow the instructions on how to submit your paper through IEEE TPMS given in our LAMC-2016 submission website.

All accepted and presented papers will be published in the LAMC Conference Proceedings and submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Proposals for Special Sessions and Tutorials

Prospective organizers are cordially invited to submit proposals for Special Sessions and Tutorials for LAMC-2016. Two topics for special sessions will be encouraged for LAMC-2016:

           Humanitarian Needs (IEEE SIGHT/HAC).

       2. Special Session on RF and Microwave Applications for Smart Cities.

However, other relevant topics for special sessions are very welcome.

Those interested in proposing special sessions or tutorials, please follow the guidelines provided here: LAMC-2016 Special Session Proposal Form, and LAMC-2016 Tutorial Proposal Form.
